INFORMATION WE COLLECT Account information: name, email address, and password (for email/password accounts) or your basic Google profile information (for Google sign-in). Profile information you provide: phone number, mailing address, emergency contact name and number, ASCA/CPE membership IDs, junior handler status and date of birth (where applicable), and an optional profile photo. Dog information: your dogs' names, breeds, registration numbers, birthdays, and related competition details you enter for registration purposes. Event and registration information: the events and runs you register for, entry forms and electronic signatures, and communications between you and event organizers/secretaries through the Service. Payment information: when you pay an entry fee electronically, our payment processor, Stripe, collects and processes your card details directly — SportiePaws does not receive or store your full card number. We do retain payment metadata such as amounts, dates, and transaction status. Device and usage information: basic technical information needed to operate the Service as a Progressive Web App, including push notification subscription tokens (if you opt in to notifications) and local storage used to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. 2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION We use your information to: create and manage your account; process event registrations and payments; communicate with you about your registrations, event updates, and your position in a live run queue; send notifications you've opted into; operate, maintain, and improve the Service; and comply with legal obligations. 3. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION With event organizers and secretaries: when you register for an event, the organizer/secretary for that specific event can see the registration details relevant to running that event (your contact info, dog info, and entry details for that event). SportiePaws is built so that a secretary creating a registration on your behalf cannot browse your full account, your other events, or your dog records outside of what's needed for that registration. With service providers who process data on our behalf: — Supabase (database hosting and authentication) — Stripe (payment processing) — Amazon Web Services / Amazon SES (transactional email delivery) — Web push notification services (delivering opt-in notifications to your device) We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of SportiePaws, our users, or the public. 4. DATA RETENTION We retain account and registration information for as long as your account is active and as needed to maintain accurate event and payment records. You may request deletion of your account; some information tied to completed event registrations and payments may be retained as required for financial recordkeeping or legal compliance. 5. YOUR CHOICES AND RIGHTS You can review and update most of your profile information at any time from your account settings. You can opt out of push notifications at any time through your device or browser settings, or from your in-app notification preferences. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at the email below. 6. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY / JUNIOR HANDLERS SportiePaws is not directed at children, and accounts must be created by an adult (18+). Where a junior handler (under 18) is entered in an event, their information is provided and managed by their parent or legal guardian's account, not by the junior handler directly. 7. COOKIES AND LOCAL STORAGE SportiePaws uses browser local storage and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to support offline/installable Progressive Web App functionality. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. 8. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
